I live outside of Jeffersonville and am writing to thank you for painting such a wonderful portrait
and adding humor to this very serious Sullivan County scene.
This seriousness and egocentricity is not limited to the lawyers and politicians;
there are many in the arts and other fields who have come here from NYC
who are equally guilty of like-minded snobbery. But you have put one of them in his place;
the only criticism I have is that his balls look rather large.
(I am inclined to think the opposite.)

My name is Denise and I live in Middletown.
I tracked your website while reading our local daily rag, "The Times Herald Record".
At a time when everyone in our country is rallying for peace, freedom, and the right to live here on American soil free to be who we are, that you are encountering such an unrealistic waste of the community's time and dollars.
I think your work is a bit different, but creative and full of talent, life and vibrant realistic ness. The work you put into creating these masterpieces obviously goes unappreciated by some. I think Mr. Altback is showing his true and vibrant colors through his attack on you. He is obviously not a fair and just person, and I would be fearful to have to go into his court to face any wrong doing I may have done. His actions against a free man in America for "making a pretty picture" show he is not a fair or accepting person and should not be placed in a position to make decisions with other people's lives.
I think your community should think about this man's actions when election time rolls around again.
What might the good Mr. Altback not like about them after they vote him into his seat? A man who is supposed to be serving justice is causing a major obstruction of same, and everyone around him is following.
These people should be ashamed of themselves and ashamed of what they represent in their everyday lives and positions in the community.
A fair and just Sullivan County would toss Mr. Altback out on his horn!!
I refer to him as a Mr. as he represents no Justice to me.
I took a commercial art course and had high hopes of expressing my talents through the field of art. Life took over and it never came to be. I am still however very creative and use my talents in many ways. I'm sorry for what you are living through, here in America, the land of opportunity,....and obviously the center of one man's personal problem in Sullivan County. I saw your work here at your site, and also looked you up at EBay. I support your work, your talents, and admire your ability to fight this ridiculous charge. If you want people to rally for you, start writing to these email addresses.

Good luck with your trial. Your painting is marvelous! It was a mischievous thing to do, but stupendous nonetheless. I admire your guts! I got a kick out of your story. Again...good luck. - Sullivan County Attorney Ira Cohen says that a painting of Iraqi children being bombed is an expression of the Artist's "desire for publicity". What is Mr. Cohen's desire in supporting the removal of the painting? Censorship is an attempt to prevent ideas contrary to the power-structure from being considered by people whose minds may not be made up or automatically in harmony with "official explanations". Is Mr. Cohen suggesting that innocent Iraqi children were not recently blown to pieces by the U.S. military on orders from current Republican administration? Is it Mr. Cohen's position that only right wing expressions should be allowed in public forums? Mr. Cohen further states that the Artist's motivations in asserting his First Amendment rights to exhibit his work without regard to political implications boils down to "promoting his own commercial interests". I wonder if Mr. Cohen would care to explain where in the constitution it is written that a citizen may not promote his business unless the Sullivan County Attorney approves the point of view. Patriotism involves more than driving around with a flag on your bumper and doing as you're told. Patriotism means putting your own interests aside when the Constitution is in danger and standing up for Liberty and the iron-clad promises of a free America. I salute the courage of the Artist, Mr. Kulon. I salute the sacrifice of Mrs. Pointer. I suggest that the citizens of Sullivan County make a special effort to go to the polls at election time and give due consideration to the statements and policies of the current Administration of Sullivan County and remember that Mr. Ira Cohen didn't hire himself. To the citizens of Sullivan County who choose to believe that the United States Military was sent off on a multi-billion dollar tax-payer funded mission to free oppressed Kurds and return control of Iraq's petroleum to it's rightful owners, the fundamentalist Shi-ites, I can only beg you, as a fellow American, to educate yourselves. If that's too much to ask, at least get your minds around this: Children being bombed is worse than a picture of children being bombed. If you want to stop something, stop the bombs.

- Are you as amazed as I am at what Public servants expect of themselves these days ?Of course, I've never read the job description for a county manager, bat I'll bet dollars to doughnuts that it or guardian of public viewing. So I am shocked (and no little upset) to find that the gentleman who leads our fair Sullivan has taken it upon himself to censor what we citizens can see displayed in our hallowed halls of government. Making no pretensions of my own expertise in judging works of creative people, it is a given that social commentary from the art world is as old as civilization. What I do know is that artistic expression is a form of free speech, and free speech is what our country is all about! I believe that the rationale for the "banning" was that a "government building" could Show nothing with which anyone could disagree. Since when? We need to send our Mr.Briggs out. of Monticello and have him do a small tour of museums and public buildings in other countries. The permanent home of "Guernica," Picasso's anti-war message, is in Madrid's Prado museum, (a public building!) but it has spent time in the recognized art centers of every civilized nation, including our own. Art need not be the handmaiden of reigning administrations, and it need not be flattering to the powers-that be .Witness Diego Rivera's remarkable mural in the very center of Mexico City's Government Center in the Zocalo. It is a attack on the misdeeds of the very country which features it! Does anyone doubt there are those who are offended by nudity when presented in statue or painting? Somehow the city managers of Florence, Italy, did not find it necessary to banish their "David" or adorn him with a fig leaf. I'm bothered and disappointed by the lack of reaction from our legislative leadership. Why in the world is which piece of art may be shown "Dan's call"? Who appointed him to keep our walls free from meaningful controversy? There was a time I would have thought back to the censorship of the McCarthy days. Sadly, I don't have to go backward any more; we have plenty of that very thing going on nationally now in the name of anti-terrorism. This is not a new problem. American history is full of attempts to ban books, silence speech which is not mainstream, and blackball public figures who dare to disagree. And yet, as a lifelong citizen of this county, I don't ever remember it happening here. The "official" attempt to control expression sends a devastating message to the many county artists who have settled here and end enriched us with their talent. While removing a painting was the decision of one man, it reflects on as all. He should be told that... by the art societies and museums we're so proud to support, by the people we've elected to guide us, and by every citizen who values artistic freedom.

- Your story of abuse and injustice, like Ron Loebers, and my own, and the thousands if not MILLIONS of others just like us, is each like a tiny drop of water which ultimately turns into a vicious ravaging flood, which is about to BUST THE DAM of conspiracy by silence, and drown the lawless bastards in the same waters which they used to dance and frolic at the expense of others.
- If you dont believe me, consider this For the past TEN years I have been trying, and failing, to have my own experiences investigated by the authorities. Recently, my battle with the local judiciary turned vicious, and dangerous, when an Assistant Attorney General filed papers in court requesting that I be punished by incarceration for not subjecting myself to his malfeasance: paying the attorney fees of JUDGES who I sued in 1995 for violating my civil rights. The case was dismissed as FRIVOLOUS as you might suspect. But the courts order that I reimburse the legal expenses of the JUDGES, was outright FRAUD ..which has now has turned into extortion. The AAG 'revived' this case so as to turn the tables on ME because I had cause to sue another local judge last year.......
- Last night I came home to find a business card stuck in my door. It was a investigative reporter for a local TV station. It turns out that the Asst Attorney General figured I was about to go public about this fraudulent prosecution SO HE THOUGHT HE"D GET THE JUMP ON ME. He called in the media himself, and today, for the first time ever, I was able to recount the circumstances of my own 'Decade of Hell' due to the lack of accountability of our 'completely immune' judiciary.
- But here is the dear, precious irony of all of this.
- It was less than a half hour after the reporter left my house that I checked my email, and proceeded to read your story. As I read on, it ultimately HIT ME LIKE A TON OF BRICKS

- One of the judges I had sued all those many years ago, was a visiting judge who was only assigned to my county for a very short time. Mine, unfortunately, was one of the few custody cases he heard and decided while he was here. His decision was so grotesquely vicious and slanderous against me, that I NEVER GOT OVER IT ..I have been an angry and violated man ever since........My experience with this particular judge marked the very beginning of my awareness of this huge problem, as well as my determination to do something about it .

- Dear Franciszek,
- I live in Oregon and have been studying the law and how the legal system works for 7 years. America has one of the most corrupt legal systems in the world at this time.
- Only after all this time have I finally developed what the facts indicate to be a fairly good understanding of our corrupt legal system and the presumptions of law upon which it operates.
- Within the last 4 months I have filed on my behalf and on behalf of friends, 3 federal law suits for violations of rights.
- The federal district courts are corrupt also - and I knew this going in - and therefore went in with the intent of taking the cases thru the fed circuit court (9th out here) and even to the Supreme if necessary.
- I am even planning on suing the corrupt fed judges in the US Court of Claims. I figured that this would be necessary when I started this battle.
- I, like you, have my war stories for simply telling the truth. You are different in that you have a way to turn what happened to you into visual art - something that the general public can relate to.
- If you will forward my your phone number, I'll be glad to give you a call and share things that I have learned.
- I would like to suggest a series of paintings that would sell well and help others to express their feelings about what has happened to our legal system. Your special skills could be very useful in helping people focus on the real issues and ultimately decide to demand that the legislatures make changes and to get the higher fed courts to order changes that are desperately needed.
- I may also be able to provide you some assistance in you fight by explaining what I have learned over the years.

- We are teaching the people about court issues, human rights, the same issues you are dealing with in your issues with the judges. Your paintings definitely ARE the truth, as you see them for real. First Amendment all the way. In the pattern of Martin Luther, he painted pictures like yours, showing the demons as they are, in bed with the popes and kings....
- I am also an artist professionally my whole life and see the host of devils we are facing in the courts here in their true form. I had to stop painting when we were "dropped into the deep end" of an unbelievably intense war with the state in l997, still ongoing, my work went from paints to words. I hope not permanently. We know exactly as you do judicial retaliation and obscene perversion of the "offices of authority".
- A grandmother we work with used a picture of yours on her folder about the child abusers for the state, the painting with the judge making off with the child under his arm....sick, so sick they are.... we deal with this pedophilia daily, our own case is all about this horrific child abuse and black market child buying operations..... we have caught a whole network of them in their crimes openly now in Oregon, and have survived their retaliation, miraculously, witnessing many times Divine Protection. We watch our "unseen legal defense team" over and over move in the courts as we have come through this. physically, literally. We see them choke judges where they cant talk, where they run out the back door of their own courtrooms, have allot of this on videotape, unreal, but real. Surreal. In real life.

I would love to see your art depict the pedophilia rings that are in operation throughout the US servicing those who are now clearly "above the law."
